Have you edited the Andross battle background? I haven't seen any screenshots of that area yet. It would be better in my opinion if you used a better style or color.

from what i've gathered it's a rather large animation in the ammount of frames it has, but it's pretty small in image size. it's going to take quite a lot of time to find them, sort them in order, and re-animate them. i still have yet to find them as well so it's probably going to be one of the last things we do. our main priority right now is the overworld map of the lylat system.

we're probably going to stick to something as similar as we can, but obviously it's going to be a much higher quality and look a lot more realistic.
we might try to go with something different, but at the moment i can't really think of any suitable replacements. as well my lead
texture artist is out right now on an over seas trip and probably won't be back until sometime in late July, or early August.

Ok guys i apologize for my little episode a few days ago, but stress was mounting and i had to take it out somewhere (unfortunately it was you guys) so to make up for my mistakes, i decided to go back and finish the menu screen as it's been sort of hanging since Andross joined.

actually, captain obvious isn't so obvious. there IS only one star pixel, the game gives the seemingly "other" pixels their own opacity automatically rather than having 2 or 3 star pixels Wink

also, here's the rings from training mode

Would it be possible to change the entire idea of the stage? Why a training facility when it can be a "virtual reality" theme. Poke at the idea, I guess.

Or give it a Apeture Science Testing Facility theme, for the giggles. :3

i tried it on the andross tunnel (to give the grate a more realistic feel) it'll just turn black seeing as it covers a solid object.

Looking at the bottom section of the ring on the seccond picture, it looks like you used an arwing texture for it.

that's purely co-incidence. i used a circuit board texture but certain parts of the rings stretch the texture.

as well, i've finished working on the venom ground texture and here's the results:

i wish plugin could let us put graphic cards to the limit, like hdr or massive texture (i'm talking about crysis-like image)

it actually allows for up to 32X the original texture size, but we want to keep this as "playable" as possible considering that some low end computers might not be able to handle above 16X (most of the textures are only 4X but important things like the skyboxes are 16X )
