They suck, there I said it. Just get rid of them. They look like pictures of REAL cacti juxtaposed onto the game screen. Good effort but it... it's just not right. I'm sure you can come up with something better than this! How 'bout make them look like dead, withered brown trees?

For starters this is a WIP texture mod, and a lot of textures have been replaced over its development. I don't mind the cacti too much because cacti are generally believed to be in the middle of a dessert. Cacti actually grow in most environments and aren't specifically related the dessert, but I don't care as much as some people do. I don't mind if the Idea changes over the production of the mod. If I were to suggest dead trees instead then it might fit better. I just think the cacti are okay for the moment, and I don't mind if it changes.

With all the drama that has been going on lately in both RL and on the internet (not just here) i've decided i'm going to take a break from LR, just a week to think about my next move and how i'm going to be giving out tasks from now on. i think i'm going to just say to andross and anyone else who's working on anything at the moment, only do what i have assigned you to do. nothing more and nothing less. It may be that you can all create better textures than i can, but i just feel like i don't contribute anything to this hack. So with this i'm going to stand by and watch for a week.

Think of it this way. Your Idea is yours alone, and other people can't really change that. If you are working on a team on your Idea then you're going to have to make compromises. The most basic compromise is one that you agree with, someone comes up with a texture that you like more than your own, and then there is the one that you have a hard time accepting, Andross is more aggressive in the team than you are therefore he has more pull on the project. If you don't like it then do something about it. Try and be more aggressive, so this project coincides with what you want. This also applies to jobs since it's that time of year. If you want a job you have to be aggressive, or else you won't get the job. It's okay to take breaks, but the world isn't waiting for you (Wow, encouraging words for me too).

Well I mean doing it with nowaday graphics, plus remixing the musics (because they were REALLY cool) and yes of course extend the lenght. Bust seriously, different arwings, primitive starwolf, Miyu and Fay, a clear Venom, additional planets, entering the Battleships, kickass music, mech Arwings, WHATS NOT TO LIKE?
Well, the crashes and the actual graphics, that is not to like.

But hey, I'll quit with this subject, first I derailed the thread, and second, I'll start shivering for nothing if I continue.

the first update in almost a month O.o;

anyway, i got bored after my shift last night and started working on a new vent texture for the arwing. it glitches because of the separation but i can easily fix that.

not from my experience... it's usually pretty clear if you use the auto level tool. or just blur it a TINY bit using the gaussian blur tool >_>;

Have you edited the Andross battle background? I haven't seen any screenshots of that area yet. It would be better in my opinion if you used a better style or color.
