- Okay Fox; how'd you do it?
well.... i took my frame, and selected the empty space, i then used a white to transparent gradient in reflect mode to get the reflection look, and i wrote shield over top of that. and for the shield itself, i used a 3 color gradient (green yellow and red) and i put some stars on it using a special brush i have.

because the shield bar for VS is different from the main game shield bar. Main game is split up, vs is all one texture.

Hey, see if you can figure out who Mudloard is or where he resides on teh internet. if we can do that maybe he could get us a custom plugin that loads even higher resolution textures.

Hey, see if you can figure out who Mudloard is or where he resides on teh internet. if we can do that maybe he could get us a custom plugin that loads even higher resolution textures. If you have higher resolutions you may crash the Emulator, but this is probably because my computer sucks. If you could please give the percentages for the textures of each planet in this fashion, so we know how far you have gotten in the texture remapping. Menu:?% Overview map: ?% Corneria:?% Meteo:?% etc. Don't worry about being accurate just guesstimate. This will give us something else to talk about instead of having these forums just being Fox-McCloud3232 and Andross talking back and forth about what might seem to be a gibberish to rest of us.

| Upsizing the textures on the characters would be fairly useless as their original size is 4x4 (meaning their new size would only be 16 x 16) there wouldn't be enough improvement to justify re texturing them. but seeing as you never really see them in game, i don't think that re-texturing them is really necessary. | |

I agree that the characters would be pointless to re texture, and I am impressed with the progress report. I'm sure more screenshots are on the way. Side note: Maybe Someone will try and re texture FF13 then kill themselves after spending 50 years of their life making a blade of grass in game look different. Sometimes I find that games look too good for their own good, but unfortunately I plan on working in the industry and killing my self trying to make a blade of grass look good on the PiiWii, Sun Protection 15, or ZenBOX5000. Unfortunately thats after another 3 years of College.

| Actually, I have to confess I was wrong, I must have had an older version of the Rice plugin before, because according to the documentation, the new one I downloaded can handle up to 32X the size of the original textures.
BTW, I'm currently redoing a lot of the skyboxes to meet with the new size limits... including the Sector-X,Y & Z images.

This might also mean that my computer may crash while loading the texture pack, but enough about my crappy computer. Does this revelation mean that you are going to start back at square 1.

Since I am in college and I am going to be working with 3DSMax and Maya sooner or later it is actually required that I get a very high end laptop for college. Unfortunately that might be another 2 years from now. For now I have 2 computers. A Pentium 4 with a crappy graphics card and low memory, and a Pentium D, an experimental dual core, with a good graphics card and 3GB of memory, unfortunately that computer got a virus that did some hardware damage that forces it to shut off when the computer is processing too much and it has Ubuntu on it which I have no f**king Idea how to use properly. Oh well 2 years isn't too long. By the way
