| I Would like a volunteer to help me with the rotating planets on the map screen. While I am creating the planets to be used, I need someone to sort through the many files and categorize them.
What I need is for them each to be put in a separate folder depending on what planet they are, and then within the planet category, sub-categorised into another file depending on what part of the planet they are.
Like so:
- Planets
- Corneria
- Top Slice
- 2nd Slice
- Etc.
VenomTop Slice2nd SliceEtc. Etc.
I know that there were expressions of interest in doing it before, And I now ask that if anyone is still interested, it would be a great help. Otherwise it will likely be December before I get anywhere NEAR finishing them.
If anyone is interested in helping I'll post a link with (hopefully all) the files.
- Andross is working on VENOM
- SacrificAbominat is working on KATINA
- Shippothekit is working on TITANIA

If it were a small amount of files I could do it, I'm talking about 100 to 200, but it depends. Filing should not be hard if it is 200 files though. I did try to categorize some of the planets, in an earlier attempt, but because of all the duplicates I decided not to. If you could reduce it to only the necessary files then I would do it. I will not sort 1000 files though. I suggest you put a link to mega upload when you want the files to be sorted. Also don't just depend on me for this get at least 3 people to do this if there are over 500 files.

| The more the merrier doing it, It'll only mean more done quicker. However, there are no duplicates, EVERY SINGLE ONE of those files is important. and it will take days or weeks to sort through them, And I'd rather not do it all by myself.

Instead of having 1 big jumbled up mess to work on alone you should have 3 parts and at least 3 people working on 3 parts would be more efficient. By the way how many files are we talking about.

| I'll help out. ^_^ Should be easy enough to do. I have lots of time on my hands as I have no life. lol
One thing though, is it relatively easy to tell which planet is which? I'm scared I'm gonna mess up one and put it in the wrong group. XD

Oh well I guess I could do at least 1 planet, but when I copied the planets from the game it was a completely different story. Are we seriously doing 100 frames per slice. Also how many slices are there per planet, so I can get ready.

XD Don't worry about grouping it wrong the emulator doesn't have any problem discerning which file is which, but you sure would tick Andross off if you did. Just don't rename the files or else the emulator will not display them.

Also I hope you aren't having the same issue with the sectors because they are just 1 picture and are not hard to modify. @andross- When will you post the link for us to organize the files.

| I will be posting it soon, I'm just in the process of doing Venom, which, I believe, is the hardest due to it's similarities with Zoness. This will also provide an example for how I want them done. Give me till tomorrow night.
No the sectors don't have the same problem, there is one for the map and one for the skybox. But as Slycan will tell you, things like the water on Zoness have the same problem.
Thankyou to all of you who've volunteered to help, I recommend just working on 1 planet at a time, so everyone state which planet they want to do so we don't have any doubling up. First come first serve.
I believe that in rough order of difficulty they are:
- Titania(Easy)
- Aquas
- Katina
- Zoness
- Fichina
- Macbeth
- Corneria (Hard)

| Here, download link for interested parties. There should be more than a 1000 for each planet, and more than ninety for each slice. However, I do believe that some are missing... But do the best you can with the ones you have, and we'll sort that out later.

And just to reiterate:
Planet | | Sorter | VENOM | -- | ANDROSS | KATINA | -- | SACRIFICABOMINAT | TITANIA | -- | SHIPPOTHEKIT | CORNERIA | -- | N/A | ZONESS | -- | N/A | AQUAS | -- | N/A | MACBETH | -- | N/A | FICHINA/FORTUNA | -- | N/A |

| Hey guys, I don't know if anyone has noticed this before but I was just looking at the file names trying to see if there was anything similar about them and well I found that if you look at the file name it usually has something like:
ex. STARFOX64#A1CE1863#2#1#AB8D5C47_ciByRGBA
The last part of the number indicates what planet it is so if I were to search, AB8D5C47 I would get all the parts of Titania.
If the search bar at the top doesn't give you any results, go to advance search and put it in the Name field.
So hopefully that helps you guys and saves you a bit of trouble.

| Sippo, I could kiss you! However cyberspace is rather un-conducive for that so you'll have to settle for my undying gratitude instead. I gave up on trying to find similarities when it was obvious that it wasn't at the very end or the very beginning. so kudos to you.
Fox, can you please do another search on your hard drive, I think there must be about 95 files for each slice, but the most I've found is 92, which still leaves a short gap... but if you use Shippo's technique and search the whole rip, you may find the rest.

| Ok I know shippo found out that the end of the file name is unique for every planet. I suggest we group the parts like this.
Top1 Top2 ... ... bottom2 bottom1
then we go by the end numbers.
I'm going to try and group them then post them after I am done. I don't know how to use megaupload so some advice would be nice before I get to that point.

| So I'm about halfway through Titania, down to the slices that look very similar. That being the case, if some are put in the wrong folder by mistake, will you be able to tell and fix it? - Quote :

Megaupload is really easy, you don't even need an account there. All you do is go to the megaupload home page, wait until the page loads and a bar with a browse button will appear click the browse button and navigate to the file you want to upload. Fill in the form information, click upload, wait and when it's done copy the link it gives you and then you can post it on the forums. Make sure to save that link somewhere if you uploaded without an account. If you want to have a database of all the stuff you upload make a free account. Hope that makes sense!
